Peter – who was editor in chief of our Calyx, you’ll recall – is now a partner in the Lakewood, N.J., law firm of Rothstein, Mandell, Strohm & Must. He has two law degrees, a J.D. from Columbia and an LL.M. from New York University. His practice areas are probate, trusts and estates, hospital and health law and commercial litigation. He lives in Mantoloking, on the Jersey shore.

Peter is currently a member of the W&L Alumni Board.

Professionally he has been president of the Ocean County (N.J.) Bar Association and taught law for 15 years as an adjunct professor at Georgian Court College in Lakewood. He is the author of “Consent to Medical Treatment of Incompetents,” published in New Jersey Lawyer,  and has been chairman of a New Jersey Supreme Court district ethics committee and has received various bar association awards and honors, including the Professionalism Award from the state association.

He’s a member of the borough council in Mantoloking and serves on the New Jersey Tidelands Commission. He’s also a W&L rarity, at least from our era: a member of his Democratic state committee. In addition, Peter is a former vestryman and choir member at All Saints Church in Bay Head and has been active in Rotary International.

In his spare time Peter enjoys gardening, traveling and bicycle riding, and he visits family in Germany most years in early spring.
