William Schaefer

Bill Schaefer is partly retired from the Fresh King Produce Co., of which he was a co-owner. Fresh King grows and markets tropical and other exotic fruits and vegetables across south Florida.

Bill earned an M.B.A. at the University of Miami in 1978. He and his wife, Linda, a psychology graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, live in Gainesville, and they have two children: Allison, 23, a B.S. graduate of Tulane; and Lindsay, 21, who is a senior there. The Schaefers have a beach condo in St. Augustine.
