He’s married to Vicky, who is also retired after a career in language services and personnel with the World Bank. They have a son, Timothy C., who graduated from Washington and Lee in 2004 and from the University of Denver in 2006 with an M.B.A. He’s now an accountant with Larson Allen in the firm’s Shirlington, Virginia, office. Bob and Vicky live in McLean. They also have a part interest in a seashore home in Ocean City, Maryland, where they spend time each August. Bob also tries to get to Maine, which he loves, as often as he can. In his spare time he reads, especially history and mystery novels, and he has become a frequent golfer in recent years.
He’s proudest of how well he and Vicky raised their son, and he revels in “the love of my family and a golf score under 100.” On the other hand, a lack of bipartisanship in politics irritates him. (That’s a response we encountered with surprising frequency in the class of 1968, one might note. – Editor)
If there's anyone in the class who hasn’t heard from Bob in recent years, it’s not for lack of his trying in his role of class agent, and now as chairman of the reunion committee. He writes that he wants especially to thank everyone “for their great generosity in my years as class agent” and hopes that the reunion leads to “greater communication and friendship among all of us as the years pass.”
