Dear Donors of the Class of 1968 Scholarship, My name is Samantha Jimenez and I a junior from Charlotte, N.C. I am writing to thank you for your continued interest and generosity to Washington and Lee through your support of the Class of 1968 scholarship. Had I not received the scholarship I would never have been able to attend this outstanding university and would likely have had to attend a college that would never have provided me the quality of education that I receive here every day. Your interest and support have enabled me to continue my education at a school that will undoubtedly provide many opportunities in the future. In my spare time I enjoy being a part of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women, in which I continue to hold the position of vice president of communications. I am also the Pi Beta Phi Panhellenic delegate. The positions take up a great deal of my time but I also enjoy exploring the areas surrounding Lexington in my spare time and have found many beautiful places in Rockbridge County. My school career is at its best and this past winter term I made the Dean’s List. I am nearly finished with my anthropology/ sociology and German language majors and again thank you for the support that allows me to continue my education and Washington and Lee. Sincerely, |
